Founded in 1995 by François Fort, OPAL is today the leader in frames for children and teenagers, with flagship brands in this universe. In 2022, it introduced the Barbie collection and, more recently, its own children’s designer brand, NFK. Over time, the company has expanded its portfolio to include frames for adults, investing in French manufacturing: Berenice in 2019, Saint James in 2022, and most recently with the acquisition of Roussilhe. OPAL is also an expert in the sports segment, thanks to its Demetz eyewear and goggles. All this expertise makes OPAL a French company dedicated to serving opticians.
