New York Yankees
Fast-growing ready-to-wear urban brand, New York Yankees is first and foremost a New York baseball team. It is part of the Major League which has been around for 150 years. MLB brings together 30 American baseball teams. Each team is a brand in its own right. The most famous have become world icons of US fashion, with as leader, the New York Yankees, the most well-known of all of them.
Influencing the world of fashion, the New York Yankees brand is to a great extent inspired by American culture and its caps are worn by everyone. The brand has been a favourite with young people for several generations with a brand recognition rate of almost 90% throughout the world. The New York Yankees logo is the most recognized in the world of sport. Whilst New York Yankees is Major League Baseball’s leading brand, other teams with their emblems are emerging in Europe and attracting the attention of young consumers.
In 2017, Opal therefore decided to launch new products, with new teams such as LA, Boston and Detroit.
The NY initials play hide and seek in subtle but omnipresent logos, which put the final touch to frames with high-quality materials and elegant colours. In the New York Yankees collection, it is the details that make the difference: touches of bright colours, monograms in tone-on-tone, open-work end-pieces, prints on the inside of the temples…etc. In short, a bold and edgy glasses collection!
